I designed the Tanaqad as a modern interpretation of traditional Moroccan lamps, with strong ties to their long history. The shape, very reminiscent of the past, together with new materials creates a contrast in harmony.
The Tanaqad is a versaitle and warming family of lamps. It is the result of looking at history with wonder at the same time as trying to keep it alive in our modern world.
Different environment renders.
The main materials I wanted to use for this design are: satin opal white glass and brushed copper.
With its satin opal blown glass diffuser it gives a warm light that does not disturb regardless of the ambient it is put in. Because of its harmonic soft light and the intriguing shape it fits as well in the living room or on the bedside table.
